[1] Are all programs religous? No. Naturally programs using government money, need to free from religeon. With a team of top scientists and a really big strainer I have been successful in separating church and state in my performances. And many of my programs are designed for schools and libraries, where ministry is inapropriate. The corperate parties and sales events are naturally more secular in nature. And Professor B Looney finds himself in many a place where one can minister by example and not by word.
[2] Does doing Secular shows bother me as a Christian? Jesus said for us to give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's! So it is not difficult to do secular shows in a secular setting and then do Christian shows in Christian settings. And there are outreach moments where a Christian show is appropriate in a secular setting... just as fun only programas are often called for in the churchs. But the thing to remember is to do the program that you are being hired to do... give to your customer what they are needing.
The shows that bother me as a Christian are where somebody is
being degraded or treated in a hateful manner. I do tease
people and place some volunteers in an embarasing situation.
But I want them to know that it is all in fun and I do care for
them. Fun at somebody’s expense is not fun!
